Elomatic is an international consulting and engineering company that provides top-level expert services, products and turnkey solutions to process, machinery, marine, energy and pharmaceutical industries. Established in 1970, Elomatic has grown across its industry verticals into an organisation with over 1,300 employees, based in over 20 countries.
Elomatic Marine supports shipyards and shipowners with design and expert services, software, and turnkey deliveries – often based on technologies developed inhouse – and we are renowned for excellence in all we do, from the first consultation to the end of the investment’s lifecycle.
Our strength is in our flexibility and versatility. We are quick, responsive, and within a single contract we can offer a range of services, from a full ship concept to in-depth consultancy on future fuels and regulatory change that is driving industry sustainability.
The future of ship design
As the maritime industry addresses the challenges posed by the energy transition, in conjunction with its ongoing digitalization, ship design is becoming more complex and multi-faceted. This means that both shipowners and yards are less able to rely on past designs; a smart and future proofed design is therefore becoming even more of a differentiator. Our broad range of expertise means that we can manage every stage of the design process, allowing us to adapt designs to specific operational profiles, simulating and forecasting how different concepts will perform over time. This enables Elomatic to rigorously test and prove designs at an early stage.
Our core specialisms include all aspects of new ship design and engineering, as well as stability, hydrodynamics, machine solutions and usability. We also offer full scale consultancy on topics such as future fuels, CII compliance, and retrofits, ensuring that our customer’s vessels remain compliant, operationally efficient, and commercially competitive.
Offshore Energy
Elomatic also offers solutions and consultancy services related to offshore wind power and has recently developed an innovative foundation solution to support the installation of offshore wind farms. This float foundation system allows our customers to avoid expensive offshore lifting, which removes the need for reliance on the availability of special windfarm installation vessels.
As a scalable solution, this float foundation design not only reduces costs but also significantly improves safety and minimizes the environmental impact of the installation, as the assembly of the farm does not cause noise pollution and can be removed at the end of its lifecycle.
