PBUCH SA. is a production, engineering and design company manufacturing approved cooling systems, pressure and processing equipment for heavy industry, merchant and Naval vessels, off-shore and chemical, energy supply and petrochemical sectors.
PBUCH SA. specialises in production of tailor made:
- Pressure and processing equipment: pressure tanks, receivers, separators, boilers, preheaters, calorifiers, sub-coolers and others
- Shell and tube heat exchangers
- Air conditioning equipment
- Cooling equipment
- Hyperbaric chambers
- HVAC installations
- Water treatment units
- Other customised products.
Maximum dimensions of products we produce:
- length: 25m
- width: 6m
- height: 10m
- Maximum pressure: 400 bar.
We work from initial ideas to the production of a prototype, including all trials, production engineering and class documentation through to the final product.
PBUCH offers equipment and knowhow for the complete design of the systems, supporting its very demanding customers in suitable arrangements to meet their requirements and needs. For this purpose we use modern applications for 2D and 3D . All of our products are made of high quality materials and are subjected to conformity assessment with participation of the Notified Body and supervision of Class representative.
Our equipment is designed to operate in difficult conditions. We provide our pressure equipment adapted to work in a corrosive environment as we provide our products to various plants: HVAC systems, dry bulk handling systems, heat recovery systems, water treatment systems, pulp and paper production process, production of fertilisers, boiler systems in power plants, low temperature systems of liquefied CO2 and many others.
S&T heat exchangers manufactured by PBUCH are adapted for sea water cooling condensers of refrigeration units (with special polyamide coating ). PBUCH provides also customised heat exchangers designed to use in oil processing installations (NACE certified) in harmful, H2S-containing environments or resistant to water vapour diffusion (ΔT 85 °C) lined by heat cured duroplast coating.
The company is based in the industrial heart of Gdynia (Poland) near the container terminal and harbor. This is especially important in the shipping of large equipment which can be transferred to the port without any great difficulty.
Prevention of air pollution from ships – Reduction of greenhouse gas emissions from ships
Nowadays, we face up the issue of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and introduce environmentally acceptable technologies and products to provision cooling, air-conditioning and refrigeration systems according to IMO GHG Study 2009 and the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships (MARPOL).
Offered cooling units are designed according to DNV rules for the vessels with Class Notation CLEAN DESIGN (the maximum GWP -1890) and we are on the right path to introduce products that meet the IMO requirements of year 2020.
Cooling units construction dedicated for marine and navy purposes
Water chilling units and condensing units have been adapted for cooling with sea water or brine. Depending on the needs, it is possible to use special materials (for example low-magnetic version), special protections (for example: shock absorbers), non-standard power supply, control, cooling parameters or construction.
Depending on the capacity and needs, it is possible to produce units with reciprocating compressors, screw compressors (semi-hermetic or open) or Scroll compressors.
As a standard, we use shell and tube condensers adapted for cooling with fresh water (copper low-ribbed tubes), brine or sea water (low-ribbed copper-nickel or brass tubes). Thanks to the use of high efficiency tubes, the condenser obtains better heat transfer parameters and thus smaller overall dimensions.
It is possible to use shell-and-tube or plate evaporators. In the case of requirements, the evaporator can be made of stainless steel. The evaporator’s inlet and outlet temperature sensors, flow sensor and anti-freeze sensor are used to control the water flow through the evaporator.
The Water chilling units maintains the water outlet temperature at the required temperature level. Units are controlled by the LCD display panel of the controller.
Pressure tanks for KVOC® system for shuttle tankers – VOC Recovery Systems
Pressure tanks delivered for shuttle tankers of Knutsen OAS Shipping AS were designed for the KVOC® technology. The KVOC® technology can be used to reduce the nmVOC emissions that evaporate from loading of the crude oil.
Volatile organic compounds (VOCs), except methane, are called nmVOCs. Such compounds evaporate from crude oil. Storage, loading and unloading of oil offshore, in storage ships (FSOs and FPSOs), in onshore storage tanks and terminals, and on shuttle tankers, contribute significant emissions of nmVOCs.
Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) are harmful to human health when it is exposed to NOx and sunlight. Tanks made by PBUCH were installed on eight Knutsen ships: Tordis Knutsen, Elisabeth Knutsen, Sallie Knutsen, Tove Knutsen, Jorunn Knutsen, Sirri Knutsen and Elisabeth Knutsen.
REFRIGERATION EQUIPMENT USING NATURAL GAS AS REFRIGERANT ACCORDING TO EU REGULATION NO 517/2014
Many manufacturers and users are looking for new solutions for cooling plants using refrigerant with the lowest GWP factor.
Specialising in refrigeration systems, heat exchange calculations and pressure equipment production
PBUCH SA delivers S&T heat exchangers to various industrial plants working on natural gases, complying with requirements of the regulation.
PBUCH SA designed an installation for propylene condensing and lowering the temperature of the condensate working at the capacity of 21,500.0 kg per hour. Gas propylene at the temperature of 85oC at the inlet of a condenser reaches, after the stage of subsequent cooling the temperature of 29oC. It is to be achieved by the application of two shell-and-tube heat exchangers cooled with water:
Condenser with heat transfer rate Q=2,404 kW and heat exchanger area of 2,036.0m2
Sub-cooler with heat transfer rate Q=140 kW and heat exchange area of 52.3m2
For another natural refrigerant – ammonia PBUCH delivers different subcomponents for refrigeration plants, like: liquid separators, receivers, shell and tube condensers.
DUST CLEANING PLANT STATIONS – DCP
When handling cement, barite and bentonite approximately 6% of the material is lost due to drift with the air. Dust Cleaning Plant Stations are used to purify the air with high efficiency and allow for recovery of valuable material while contributing to environmental protection.
THE CONTENERISED RESCUE AND HYPERBARIC TREATMENT CHAMBER SYSTEM Decompression Chamber manufactured by PBUCH S.A., consists of a two-compartment pressure chamber complete with equipment in a specially adapted, 20 feet insulated container. The system is used for the treatment of ilnesses and injuries, which occur as a result of increased hydrostatic pressure and to carry out training exercises for submarine crew members and divers. The equipment was designed to hold maximum 14 people, where 10 places are located in the rescue and treatment compartment and the remaining 4 in the rescue and transfer compartment.
The equipment, being the primary medical safety element of the sea rescue systems, can be used in the following ways:
– rescue actions when administering help to the submarine crew members,
– underwater works where the depth ranges up to 100 mH2O,
– treatment of diving illnesses and administration of hyperbaric oxygen therapy,
– carrying out specialist examinations and medical procedures,
– carrying out pressure training exercises,
– carrying out other pressure procedures where a human finds himself in the conditions of increased pressure.
