Pfleiderer revolves around premium wood-based panels, customer-oriented services and sustainability: with chipboards and fibreboards, decorative products that have undergone further processing, laminates, HPL elements and worktops, the company offers the perfect materials for every project – including fire protection, shipbuilding, timber construction and organic certification projects.
This makes Pfleiderer a leading supplier in the fields of furniture and interior finishing, specialist retail and timber construction. The company impresses its partners with customised service, unparalleled consulting expertise and the widest possible range of decorative surfaces.
In addition, it supplies innovative cores, which enables its customers to build structures that are as healthy and ecological as possible. At its nine locations in Germany and Poland, Pfleiderer’s own production facilities and methods are of course very resource-friendly, low-emission and energy-efficient as well.
Presentation of the German Design Awards 2016: the Design Council singles out Pfleiderer twice
Once again the “Rat für Formgebung” (Design Council) has confirmed Pfleiderer’s design expertise. After singling out the wood-based panel manufacturer in 2015 and giving it a German Design Award for its high-gloss texture, it went one better this year. “With a “special mention” for “Duropal-HPL XTreme” and the deep and expressive surface texture “Meandra”, i.e. two awards at once, Pfleiderer is one of the big winners of the German Design Awards 2016.
In its own words, the Design Council only gives this award to products which are “groundbreaking in the international design landscape”. “This repeated recognition naturally makes us extremely proud” explains Sabine Spitz, head of product management for DecoBoard at Pfleiderer.
“Two German Design Awards in one year is difficult to top”
Before its first award in 2015, Pfleiderer had already been nominated three times for the “German Design Award”. “This means we improved from year to year. We naturally want to continue along this successful path”, explains Sabine Spitz and adds with a twinkle in her eye. “Though two German Design Awards in one year is difficult to top, and at the same time it is proof that we did everything right with our surface designs.”
